We want you to make the most money possible from your clothing, shoes and accessories... you can help by following these guidelines:
Bring us your best:
All items must be dry-cleaned or freshly laundered, in season, and in either new or mint condition. Please inspect your items carefully before bringing them in - ask yourself if they are in the condition YOU would like to buy them.
Please don't take our pickiness personally - we are very selective based on demand, as well as what's currently in our inventory.
We DO NOT accept damaged items with stains, tears, obvious pilling, or missing/broken buttons and/or zippers.
We DO NOT launder or mend damaged or soiled items.
We DO NOT buy items outright - all garment sales are offered on consignment basis only!
Any items that are found damaged after initial inspection will be set aside for donation to charity - please ensure your items are in their best possible condition!
How to consign:
Your first consignment should be done when you have a few extra minutes to spare, so we have time to review our policies and explain how we operate.
Due to space and current volume on hand, we now require appointments for all drop-offs.
We limit drop-offs to two consignors per day so we can process all items in a timely and organized manner. Please make sure to contact us in advance so we can fit you in at a time that works for you.
Please contact us via phone, email, through Facebook, or swing by to speak with us in person - we'll be able to arrange a time that would be best for you to bring your items by!
Consignment Period:
Former Flame consigns for a total period of 90 days.
After the first 60 days on display, any remaining items will be marked at a discount for a further 30 days.
Unsold items can be kept aside for pickup if you'd please, or we can donate items directly to a local charity. Unsold items must be picked up within 7 days of notification of contract expiration. Items not picked up and still wanted back, will be subject to storage fees of $1 per day per box/bag, starting exactly 7 days from notification date.
Consignment splits are based on an item's selling price and are as follows:
a) 30% to consignor on items priced under $100
b) 50% to consignor on items priced over $100
c) 70% to consignor on items classified as 'Formal Wear' (accepted on a case-by-case basis)
Seasonal Schedule:
Timing is everything, right?!
We accept seasonal items as follows:
Spring/Summer Season: February - August
Fall/Winter Season: Mid-August - January
Items accepted year-round include:
Jeans, graphic t-shirts, handbags & purses, jewellery, and shoes.
